Novartis (NYSE:NVS) reported quarterly earnings of $1.97 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.89 by 4.23 percent. This is a 16.57 percent increase over earnings of $1.69 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $12.512 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $12.375 billion by 1.11 percent. This is a 9.40 percent increase over sales of $11.437 billion the same period last year.
