Vaccines are all the rage in the market today. Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) announced positive vaccine news, piggybacking optimism from Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech's (NASDAQ:BNTX) positive vaccine news last week.
On CNBC's "Squawk on the Street," Jim Cramer discussed three vaccine plays that aren't health care companies: Simon Property Group (NYSE:SPG), Taubman Centers (NYSE:TCO) and Federal Realty (NYSE:FRT) are vaccine plays.
The aforementioned stocks are all real estate companies. Their portfolios include retail properties that have been heavily impacted by stay-at-home and social distancing orders. A vaccine could help bring this industry back.
