The gross proceeds from the offering, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses, are expected to be approximately $80 million, excluding any exercise of the underwriters' option to purchase additional shares. All of the shares in the public offering are to be sold by Abacus.
Abacus intends to use net proceeds for its operations, including the purchase of life settlement policies, to support its overall business strategy, for working capital purposes and for general corporate purposes, which may include repayment and refinancing of its indebtedness.
