Kenji Kanno described the upcoming Crazy Taxi as a “large-scale, open-world, massively multiplayer driving game,” leveraging the cutting-edge Unreal Engine.

Kanno stressed Sega’s commitment to preserving Crazy Taxi’s signature thrill while integrating groundbreaking multiplayer dynamics and expansive open-world exploration.

“The new Crazy Taxi retains the essence of the original while introducing exciting new elements,” Kanno affirmed. Reports hint at a sprawling theme park-inspired map and nods to the U.S. West Coast, promising a fresh yet familiar experience for fans, according to Automaton.
