Illinois Tool Works (NYSE:ITW) reported quarterly earnings of $2.54 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.47 by 2.83 percent. This is a 2.42 percent increase over earnings of $2.48 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $4.027 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $4.080 billion by 1.29 percent. This is a 1.15 percent decrease over sales of $4.074 billion the same period last year.
