Expedia Posts Upbeat Earnings, Joins Akamai Technologies, Trade Desk, DXC Technology And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Friday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 0.1% on Friday.

Shares of Expedia Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:EXPE) rose sharply during Friday's session after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.

Expedia Group reported quarterly earnings of $3.51 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $3.06 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $3.558 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $3.534 billion.

Expedia Group shares jumped 9.4% to $129.02 on Friday.
