Sticky Cards And Greenline Join Forces To Elevate Cannabis Loyalty Programs In Apple, Google Wallets

Author: Nina Zdinjak | August 27, 2024 09:50am

Sticky Cards, Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) Apple Wallet and Alphabet's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google Wallet cannabis loyalty program confirmed on Tuesday its integration with Greenline, a BLAZE company. Under this collaboration, Canadian cannabis retail company Greenline enables its customers to increase loyalty sign-ups for cannabis retailers inside Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, featuring push notifications without the need for additional apps.

“It’s no secret that the Sticky Cards integration with Greenline POS is one of my favorites – everything just works like magic,” stated Varun Sharma, CEO of Sticky Cards. “Customers walk in the door and scan their Sticky Card to the POS barcode scanner and points get automatically added. No more privacy issues of customers having to share their phone numbers in store.”

Sticky Cards is an app-free cannabis loyalty program designed specifically for cannabis retailers. It removes the need for any app downloads by living in customers’ Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Sticky Cards is said to never expire, never get offloaded to the cloud, and ensures a 100% message delivery rate. This allows cannabis dispensaries to skip SMS censorship and send targeted push notifications directly to their customers’ phones.

When a Sticky Card is scanned at Greenline’s POS, the platform presents the customer record, displaying the customer’s loyalty points, transaction history and available rewards. With the Sticky Cards barcode scanning, retailers can pull up customers without asking for their phone number or other private information.

This integration also allows personalized promotions directly to customers phones using automated geo-targeted push notifications that trigger when customers are within 100m of a store.

“We’re excited to announce our partnership with Sticky Cards,” BLAZE CEO Chris Violas said in a statement. “This collaboration highlights our commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for cannabis retailers. By improving flexibility and efficiency, we’re supporting cannabis retailers to achieve long-term success through more refined loyalty programs.”
