Author: Lekha Gupta | September 04, 2024 10:39am

Sony Group Corporation (NYSE:SONY) shares are trading lower on Wednesday. The company has decided to take the Multiplayer shooter Concord offline starting September 6, 2024.

The company stated, “However, while many qualities of the experience resonated with players, we also recognize that other aspects of the game and our initial launch didn’t land the way we’d intended.”

Sony said Concord’s sales would stop immediately, and full refunds would be offered to all PS5 and PC players who purchased the game.

The company launched Concord on August 23 for Windows and PlayStation 5.

Last month, the company announced that it would increase the price of its PlayStation 5 (PS5) games console by approximately 20% in Japan starting September 2.

Also, Sony launched a new Accessories app for Windows, enabling PC users to customize their PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controllers.

Investors can gain access to the stock via BlackRock Large Cap Core ETF (NASDAQ:BLCR) and Calamos ETF Trust Calamos Antetokounmpo Global Sustainable Equities ETF (NYSE:SROI).

Price Action: SONY shares are down 0.67% at $94.85 at the last check Wednesday.
