Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE:RY) reported quarterly earnings of $2.19 per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $2.25 by 2.67 percent. This is a 1.86 percent increase over earnings of $2.15 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $11.03 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $11.20 billion by 1.56 percent. This is a 5.66 percent increase over sales of $10.43 billion the same period last year.
